True Colours x Easter

Patients don’t need eggs this easter.

During Easter, many of us are busy heading off in caravans or trying to start the camping stove. But patients who need blood aren’t going anywhere.

The need for blood never stops. Australia still needs a new donor every 5 minutes during the Easter break.

Hop in and help out by 25 May for a colourful Easter bandage by Alice Oehr. You’ll be a certified Good Egg.

Meet the artist: Alice Oehr

Alice Oehr is a Melbourne based artist and designer who draws for business and for pleasure. She’s interested in design that walks the line of good taste.

She has a distinct, colourful style that incorporates a love of food, pattern, collage and drawing. Like most professional doodlers, Alice loves to record the world as she moves through it and uses her work to showcase her observations and interpretations of the details she encounters.

“Decorated Easter eggs are something I love to see every year, and I wanted to feature them,” Alice said.

“This is my take on traditional decorative motifs you find on hand-painted eggs. I have a large collection given to me by my mum. Signifying birth and new life, eggs are also an excellent symbol of the life-giving potential of blood donation.”
