More space, more donations, more lives changed
As Australia grows, so does Lifeblood. Donation should be easy, so we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make it even easier. Some big changes are happening!
Making moves
The generosity of Australians always blows us away. In fact, some suburbs have been so generous, that it’s a struggle to fit all the donors in! That’s why we packed our bags and made some moves.
Queensland and Sydney-side donors are already reaping the benefits, with the new Springwood Donor Centre and the York Street Donor Centre already open. The new donor couches at these two sites alone add countless more life-giving opportunities to donate.
What else is new?
It’s funny you should ask.
Some brand new donor centres are coming soon! We looked at the data and ran the numbers and realised there was no other way to keep up with locals’ generosity in certain areas.
So, a new donor centre is coming to Brunswick, Victoria, and another to Marrickville, New South Wales.
Brunswick will be opening its doors on 30 September, with Marrickville opening shortly after on 31 October.
Recovering and rebuilding
It hasn’t all been rainbows and new donor centres around here. When Lismore was hit hard by floods earlier in the year, Lifeblood wasn’t spared from destruction.
The Lismore Donor Centre had to be stripped of flood-damaged equipment and rebuilt from the ground up. But it didn’t hold Lismore donors back. Their new donor centre isn’t long off now, but they’ve been visiting mobile donor centres or even travelling quite a long way to other centres in the meantime.
Get to know your donor centre
Show off how generous your community is by booking in a donation today, at a new donor centre or at one of our existing, well-established donor centres.
There are more changes to come — it could be your area with the new next!
