For Maxwell, receiving life-giving donations is a routine he never takes for granted. Chronic conditions mean he needs donated platelets regularly. And he’s grateful for those who give them.

Cancer came for this cellist and music teacher in 2013. Over ten years later, a stem cell transplant was his only hope.
